Saturday afternoon was mid-60s, sunny, and the perfect opportunity to go on a little adventure. I grabbed an iced coffee, opened my sunroof and headed up to Aria Medical Aesthetics for an afternoon of pampering. I walked into Aria Medical Aesthetics and couldn’t have ever expected what was in store for me. The team was so welcoming and made me feel right at home! They were all so knowledgeable and clearly experts in their field so any anxiety I had went right out the window.
Lilly and Alicia spent the afternoon with me, and they were both so sweet! We chatted about everything from our love of dogs to lip fillers and it felt like I had known them forever!
Laser hair removal
There was a bit of pre-visit prep for this service. I had to shave first thing in the morning and have clean, dry skin with no deodorant. Let me preface this by saying I did a few laser hair removal sessions about 10 years ago. During the consultation, they mentioned that the technology has advanced quite a bit since then and boy were they right. The difference was night and day! It was quick, completely painless and done in about 15 minutes. Nothing like the tedious, hot, uncomfortable feeling of being flicked by a rubber band like my previous experience.
Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is defined as a cosmetic treatment in which surface irregularities are surgically scraped to give the skin a smoother appearance. I will say I was a bit nervous about a surgical blade on my face but when Alicia was finished my skin was so smooth and bright, it was totally worth it. I followed it up with a facial and my skin was literally glowing when I left. My makeup goes on like a dream and the difference is truly noticeable.
It’s amazing what a half day at the spa can do. It was so nice to relax and unwind and it truly turned my week around. Plus, the Aria Medical Aesthetics team spoiled me with a gift basket and a cupcake! The staff and the experience were truly incredible and I absolutely cannot wait to go back!
