This Wedding Wednesdays post was sponsored by Camillo Tuxedo. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.
It’s #WeddingWednesday again and we’re in the home stretch – less than a month to go! Needless to say, things have been just a little bit busy lately so here’s a quick update. Our cake has been ordered, my dress and shoes are on the way and we took engagement pictures over the weekend to meet our phenomenal wedding photographer! Stay tuned for more on that 😉 We still have a few things to get done like get a cake topper, decide on wedding favors and you know… order wedding rings… No big deal.
But tonight, I’m talking about one of the easiest items we checked off the list: Renting Pete’s tux.
If you’re like me, you know absolutely nothing about tuxedos, tuxedo rentals or… anything tuxedo related. I did some preliminary Googling, but we ended up deciding to let the experts help us out with this one.
Originally, Pete wanted a light gray or navy suit. Seeing as we don’t get super dressed up too often, and we’re only getting married once, we landed on a tuxedo. Obviously, that’s not something we need to keep around the house so we ended up checking out Camillo Tuxedo in Orange, CT.
Established in 1966, Camillo Tuxedo has locations in Norwalk, CT and Orange, CT. Unlike most tuxedo stores, you’re able to try on your actual size and all tuxedos are dry cleaned, altered and pressed on premises. Plus, their prices include all everything you need: shirt, pants, jacket, studs and cufflinks, a vest/cummerbund and a bow tie/long tie… even shoes, so you don’t have to worry about any surprise fees when it comes time to pick up your tuxedo rental. Alterations are included in the prices as well, which range anywhere from $135 to $250 depending on what style and designer you select. One of the other great perks about Camillo’s is that you can try on tuxedos in-store when you pick them up. If for any reason you need last minute alterations, they take care of it on-the-spot while you wait, in less than 15 minutes!
They were SUPER helpful and totally schooled us to the game. We ditched the idea of Navy blue and decided on gray fairly quickly. Their selection was outstanding and Pete narrowed it down two options fairly quickly: a light gray and a charcoal gray, both tailored fit. Again, if you’re tuxedo oblivious like I was, tailored fit is a more fitted version than the classic tuxedo which is a bit more square.
He tried on both options and we ended up choosing the Ike Behar tuxedo in charcoal gray. I really loved both colors but they pointed out how much better the charcoal was with Pete’s skin tone and they were definitely right. Plus, my dress is ivory & white and I think it’ll look amazing with the charcoal. The Ike Behar wool tuxedo has a tailored fit, two button inset satin notch lapel, and is perfect for our winter wedding!
In addition to being one of the easiest decisions we made during all of the wedding planning, they’re offering some pretty awesome specials through the end of the year. Now through 12/31/15, book a wedding for 2016 for six or more, mention this offer and get:
